These sights you can generally easily see in one day or less.  Travel in the morning, perhaps a short train or bus ride and spend the day at your chosen attraction.  Take a packed lunch or eat in/nearby and spend your entire day taking in the sights.  Then its back home for dinner and probably a good rest.
