Blackpool Beach

Around 7 miles of magnificent sand Blackpool beach resort is certainly one of the most famous seaside resorts in Britain. It's brighlty lit promenade and the three large piers contain many funfairs, amusements and entertainments. There is a sandy beach and the town is lively with plenty of shops.  The nearby sea life centre is a popular attraction and of course, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, one of the UK's top theme parks with around 5 million visitors a year.

Blackpool Beach has 3 piers. North Pier is famous for its theatre and top-class seasonal shows, its amusements and shops, and is the resort's favourite sunbathing spot. The front of the North Pier has been restored to its Victorian splendour.  Central Pier boasts a showbar and a superb Big Wheel. All the other attributes of a pier are also there; amusement arcades, shops and kiddies' amusements.  Finally the South Pier, with its famous circus marquee style frontage, has its own theatre - which is popular for the whole family.
