Castle Sinclair Girnigoe is the only castle in Scotland to be listed by the World Monuments Fund. This once impregnable medieval / renaissance stronghold is now the most spectacular ruin in the North of Scotland and is the subject of a preservation programme The Castle will be open to the public from the beginning of May to the end of September 2010. It may be closed to the public occasionally during these times due to health and safety for the on going conservation and preservation works.
