Alnwick Castle
Alnwick Castle is one of the most stunning castles in Europe. It is the second largest inhabited castle in England and has been home of the Percy's, Earls and Dukes of Northumberland since 1309. Built on a basalt outcrop above a glorious golden sand beach, the castle houses a fine collection of armour and paintings. Alnwick castle has been used as a film location, for everything from Harry Potter to Elizabeth to Becket to Blackadder.
